Georgius de Augusta and Paulus de Butzbach, for Columbinus Veronensis
1472
f°
It appears from the document quoted by D. Fattori, La Bibliofilia 97 (1995), pp.3 & 17 that P. de Butzbach's partner, traditionally called Georgius de Butzbach, was not in fact his brother but one 'magister Georgius filius quondam Gerardi de Augusta de Elemenea'

This unrecorded edition appears to have been the model for GW 8031 (Goff D53), with same cuts and disposition of text. Differs from GW 8031 transcription in [a2]: 'incipit', b1: 'uengon', b4v: 'Gregorius ... caro ... qualiacunque ... pacini'. The correction of the misprint 'caro' to 'raro' in GW 8031, and further wear to the woodcut blocks there, suggest that this is the earlier of the two editions. Signed a3, b, b2 only. Woodcut maps; Sometimes attributed to Leonardo Dati
