  1. N-029(1) Copy Wanting the blank leaf a1 and gatherings A–C. Binding: Sixteenth-century(?) parchment; two ties lost. At the head of the spine is an oculus in black ink, with the title in black ink in a sixteenth-century hand(?) below. The foot of the spine is coloured red and has an initial ‘E' between two black lines, and a number, unread, below the second black line. Size: 232 × 172 × 64 mm. Size of leaf: 223 × 153 mm. Some ‘nota' marks and occasional marginal scribbles. A small slip of paper, formerly used as a bookmark, and containing a note in a fifteenth-century hand, has been attached to the recto of the front endleaf. On a2r a 12-line initial ‘Q' is supplied in blue; other two- to five-line initials are supplied in red or blue; paragraph marks supplied in red. Provenance: Heavily cancelled inscription, unread, on a2r. F. R. Brown; catalogue 32, no. 2; note (by David Rogers) on slip of paper attached to the front pastedown.
