  1. P-010(1) Copy Binding: Contemporary German (Augsburg, Kyriß workshop no. 2) blind-tooled half calf laid down over modern boards, with two catches and remains of two clasps. On the upper cover triple fillets form a frame which is divided by further triple and double fillets into triangular compartments; the compartments are decorated with a repeated palmette stamp, a repeated lozenge-shaped fleur-de-lis stamp, a repeated lozenge-shaped rosette stamp, and a second repeated rosette stamp. On the lower cover fillets form two sections, the upper one divided by triple fillets into triangular compartments, decorated with a repeated ‘Afra' scroll stamp, and the repeated rosette stamp used on the upper cover. In the lower section, fillets form a frame which contains a repeated circular rosette stamp and the ‘Afra' scroll stamp, repeated; triple fillets form the inner rectangle which is decorated with the lozenge-shaped fleur-de-lis stamp and the lozenge-shaped rosette stamp, each repeated. For the stamps see Kyriß pl. 3, nos 1, 5, 6 (`Afra' scrolls), also Goldschmidt p. 17. Remains of a paper label at the head of the upper cover. Size: 392 × 286 × 65 mm. Size of leaf: 381 × 282 mm. Occasional early marginal headings and ‘nota' marks. Four- to nine-line initials, some with extensions into the margins, and paragraph marks are supplied in red.
