  1. P-113(1) Copy Binding: Nineteenth-century paper boards, backed with gold-tooled leather; sprinkled red- and black-edged leaves. Size: 230 × 165 × 25 mm. Size of leaf: 227 × 154 mm. A few marginal notes, extracting key words, in red ink in an early hand. On g6v a marginal note, commenting on the text in Venetian dialect, probably in Pulsin's hand. Manuscript foliation ‘1-111' in a seventeenth-century hand. ‘6040' in brown ink in the upper left-hand corner of the front pastedown. On a1r in two fifteenth-century hands, a short prayer and a verse: ‘Christe filii dei uiui nobis qui sedes adexteram patris miserere nobis'; and ‘Exurgens K[a]urum duc Zephyre flactibus equor' [`Exurgens Kaurum duc Zephile fratribus equor'], a hexameter of alphabet verse, for which see B. Bischoff, Mittelalterliche Studien, I (Stuttgart, 1966), 81. On a2r an initial ‘D' is supplied in brown ink with extension into the margin to form a border. A few other initials and paragraph marks are supplied in red. Provenance: Prospero Pulsin (Pulcino?, fl. 1631); inscription on a1v: ‘M. Prospr. Pulsin 1631 d[e] qul'an ch feua(?) pora ai tus', above, a crude coat of arms, in brown ink: a chick (i.e. pulcino in Italian). Purchased in Florence via D. A.
