Binding: Fifteenth/sixteenth-century quarter pigskin over bevelled wooden boards, blind-tooled with two different floral and decorative rolls; two clasps and catches removed. Early manuscript title at the head of the spine in brown ink. Sprinkled red-edged leaves. Leather index tab dyed green on M2. Size: 293 × 206 × 54 mm. Size of leaf: 287 × 190 mm. A few marginal notes, mainly extracting key words, adding folio numbers to the table of contents, and foliation now only partially visible: 1-235, in an early German hand in brown ink. Initials and paragraph marks are supplied in red. Provenance: Rottenbuch, Bavaria, Augustinian Canons, S. Maria; inscription on AA1r: ‘Sum B. V. Mariae in Rottenbuech' and on the verso of the front endleaf: ‘N. 205'. Duplicate from the Royal Library, Munich; ‘Duplum' in brown ink on front endleaf.
