Binding: Sixteenth-century(?) quarter parchment over twentienth-century wooden boards with bevelled edges. Sixteenth-century metal clasps hinged from lower to upper, and metal catches. Faded manuscript title on spine, now covered with manuscript title on paper label.
Size: 325 × 218 × 56 mm.
Size of leaf: 313 × 205 mm.
Frequent marginal notes in a late fifteenth-century hand, extracting key words and personal names. Copious marginal and interlinear notes in a sixteenth-century hand, probably Swiss, summarizing passages of the commentary and providing brackets, paragraph marks, and corrections to the text (some by erasure).
Provenance: Ambrosius Zaglio(?) (fl. 1598); ‘1598 MDIIC | Ambroso Zaglio/Zagho(?)' in brown ink on [*1r].
Grandson, Switzerland, Canton de Vaud, Reformed Franciscans; inscription on [*1r]: ‘Pertinet ad Coenobium S[anc]ti Fran[cis]ci Granci Prum Ref[ormator]um', with shelfmarks: ‘L.22', ‘H.59'(?), and ‘T.71' on [*1r], and ‘37', ‘68' on a1r.
