Wanting the blank leaf [rum]10.
Binding: Nineteenth-century half calf over marbled paper boards; bound for Kloß. The gold stamp of the Bodleian Library on both covers. Blue-edged leaves. Pale blue pastedowns.
Size: 304 × 209 × 35 mm.
Size of leaf: 295 × 192 mm.
Some marginal notes in a sixteenth-century hand, some cropped, mainly extracting key words and phrases from the text in brown or red ink and supplying underlining. On a1r in another sixteenth-century hand the hexameter: ‘Virtus laborque uiros decet mundus . . .’
On a4r the two woodcut initial ‘V's are coloured in red, yellow, and blue. Elsewhere German initials, paragraph marks, capital strokes, and underlining are supplied in red; the text is enclosed within red rules. Pencilled bookseller's number ‘2588-372' on front pastedown.
