Frequent marginal notes in brown or red ink in contemporary Netherlandish hands, mainly providing paraphrases of the Vergilian text, ‘argumenta', pen-trials, and scribbles. A few notes in a sixteenth-century hand, providing notes on some personal names. Provenance: Ibenstadt, Hesse, Premonstratensians, 1652; inscription on a1v: ‘Pro conuentu Ilbenstadiens a[nn]o 1652'; bought from convent by Frater Johannes Feldt Storitius (fl. 1652); inscription on same page: ‘F[rater] Jo[hann]es Feldt Storitius a[nn]o 1652'.
